SINY Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery - Bay Ridge - South Entrance

I have been a patient of SINY and its previous incarnation for over 30 years. I came in for a simple derm exam and after 30 minutes I realized that I would not be seen in the next 30 minutes or maybe even in the next 60 minutes because some idiot had grossly overbooked with many first time patients in the waiting room. Tell me it’s worthwhile to return.

I had a frustrating experience at this dermatology clinic. During my first visit, I waited over an hour, and it seemed like the front desk forgot to check me in. Despite multiple attempts to follow up on my lab results, they claimed to have called me, but I never received any calls. The front desk redirected my calls to someone who never picked up or returned my calls, leaving me without knowledge of my lab results. Communication and follow-up need a lot of improvement.

they are not acquainted with healing black skin. I learned the wrong way. Day of surgery, dr. Hazen changed the procedure and it ended up being a bad decision. The doctor that I was corresponding with, who had been in touch with Dr. Hazen, was extremely upset, and let me know that the office handled things immaturely. I saw another doctor in siny to heal the mess that accumulated after the procedure. It made my skin 10x worse. I don’t recommend, and this is coming from someone who had high hopes and invested consistently.

Dr. Petrosian is HORRIBLE and UNPROFESSIONAL. He conducted poor treatments for my son and I. I went to see him on why I have white bumps on my left arm. He explained they are flatworms and the only solution to remove them is to use a machine and burn them. Yesterday, December 21, 2023, I went for a follow-up and explained there was a brown scar on the flatworm. He didn’t even state BEFOREHAND that I would be left with a brown scar. Instead, he said let’s TRY it and see what happens. Now, instead of the flatworms I have another burnt mark on my left arm. Also, my toddler son has eczema and he provided the WRONG dosage of the medication. My son received Triamcinolone Acetonide ointment .025% instead of .1% which makes a HUGE difference. After I spoke to him and his staff regarding the matter, he was UNPROFESSIONAL, he did not correct the issue; instead, he hung up the phone in my face. Due to the lack of correct medication and treatment for my son and myself, my son has an increased number of flares and not the correct dosage to help relieve the itch and pain. DO NOT go to him.

I called their office specifically to make appointment for cyst removal. When i came i was seen by pa when apparently at this practice pa are not allowed to do any surgical procedures so in 2 minutes visit i was told i need to see dermatologist md who does. Appointment was in two months and on the day when i was working so i had to make arrangements and change my job schedule. Two days before appointment i got automated text to confirm my visit however date was wrong and office was closed over the weekend. I called on Monday and raised my concern about that mistake and was told well doctors dont do procedures on this day so we cant see you. So I wasted my time, paid for for first visit for no reason and i need to start all over with another dermatologist. Very unpleasant experience. Definitely don’t recommend and wont try to go there again.

My son had an appointment at 4:30 o'clock with Dr. Saitta this Friday. We came from all the way from Sheadshead Bay and were 15 minutes late because of the traffic. Receptionist was rude and told us that doctor couldn't see my son because we were late. After we explained her why we were late she talked to doctor in the hallway and doctor told her that he couldn't see us because it was too late although a few patients were still sitting in the office. That was the worst experience ever. Never in my life a doctor refused to see me or my family because of 15 minutes lateness. Unbelievable....
